Chicken Box- West Covina New Owners?

Broasted chicken is the only way to cook chicken and I always thought Chicken Box in West Covina did a very good job. But a few years ago, the original owner was bought out by an Asian couple. I went there once and I couldn't believe how badly that place slipped.

But now I read that Chicken Box has another owner and they are back to their original goodness.

Can anybody confirm this? I don't get over to West Covina that often anymore. But if it is true, there are new owners, I may make a trip out there next week.

Oh, yes, I have also been to Old World Deli, in West Covina, for their broasted chicken-it's good, but I prefer Chicken Box.

Could you let me know the address of Chicken Box in WC? I'll be staying out there to see my Mom in late June, and living in a kitchenette hotel. It sounds like just what we might need for a break from microwaved Fresh and Easy meals! Thanks

If you want a sandwich, go to Capri Deli, some damn good sandwiches there.

Claro's is also good, but I prefer Capri.

Kevin, I have Chicken Box on my "To Eat" List but haven't had the pleasure of eating there yet. I just posted Chicken Box's address to help out another poster (Piggyinthemiddle). But "tanfam" seems to think Chicken Box is currently serving good broasted chicken.

This thread was started on Oct. 23, 2010, roughly 9 MONTHS ago.

While I still haven't been there, a good time to go is Mon nights for their special; 10 mixed pieces of broasted chicken, and some broasted potatoes, for about $11.
