Had a very bad experience at Mono Mono on a Saturday night, group of 12 people. The food was great, no question, but the service was terrible. I've eaten there once before and had a fine experience (on a Sunday around 6pm) with a very attentive and engaged bartender, but my large party was completely ignored! We had to flag down waiters to order drinks, food, ask for napkins, etc. The servers had no idea who ordered what and just announced the items when they brought them. Because it was so loud no one could hear what they actually were bringing to the table, so every time a new food or drink came, it was an issue of who ordered what. Totally distracting. A couple items never even made it to our table. In the nicest possible way, I told the waiter that we had a bad experience and he looked dumbfounded and didn't even apologize. The food was great, and there is plenty of space for large groups, but the service was embarrassing. They would have made twice as much money if we could have actually ordered drinks and food in a timely way.
