Cheapish Dinner for 10 in Center City

I'm going to be at a conference at the Convention Center at the end of November and need a place to have a dinner with 8-10 people on Friday night. Most of this group will be college students so it would be good to be in the $10-$15 range. We would also need to walk, but I imagine we could go a good distance this way. Are there any places that take reservations but aren't overly touristy? Most of these students will never have gone beyond Chinese/Italian/Mexican, and I'd love to show them something different.

  1. How about Vietnamese? We like Vietnam Palace on North 11th Street, just a couple of blocks from where you will be. Attractive atmosphere, very good food, reasonable prices and something a little different.

    1. Sazon at 10th and Spring Garden. Excellent Venezuelan and cheap. BYO. Call them because they might be able to put together a family style dinner for the group.

      1. There are a lot of options in Chinatown which is next door to the convention center. You might try searching this board for suggestions. Rangoon is Burmese and people are big fans of it here.
