Casa Artelexia is having the last sugar skull class on the 26th (have been going on Since Sept 14- mental note for next year). They just cancelled the Day of the Dead Altar Workshop for today.

It looks great! Their last class is Tuesday at 630 but I won't be able to do that. I think I will just stop by later this week and check out the skull selection. Thanks!

I have gotten in them in the past at Bazaar del Mundo. They also sell the kits. There is also a new store on Kettner in Little Italy called Carta Alexia that sells the kits and holds clases (a big one this weekend). I think I saw them already made there.

Did you try calling those places? Don't know where to buy, but you can make your own if so inclined. I saw molds at one of the museums in Balboa Park, Museum of Man I think and they have classes at Vintage Religion and Back From Tomboctou.
