Kuhn Rikon Ecomatic Pressure Cooker

Jeri L Oct 23, 2010 08:54 AM

Does anyone have any experience with this pressure cooker? From what I have gathered on line: It's cheaper than the rest of their line, is made in India (where they know their pressure cookers!), has markings on the inside to indicate maximum fill levels...but I'm not clear about whether it has one or two pressure settings and what pressure it reaches. It looks like it might be just the thing, but I'd like to hear from someone who has actually seen one!

a couple years too late . . . i own this model, and it seems to work just as well as the swiss-made kuhn rikons. my roommate had one, and when she moved out, i realized i missed using her pressure cooker and needed one of my own. it has two pressure settings (7 and 15 psi). it's got a 6L capacity, which is large enough for making 4lb carnitas or a whole bunch of beans. it does small quantities well, too. i think everyone needs a pressure cooker!
