La Cucina in Millburn
This restaurant was not very good. Mr. diva and I ordered the calamari to start, and it was way overcooked. The breading was nicely salted, but it encased inedibly rubbery rings of squid. We sent the appetizer back, and we got a marginally better version. It was still overcooked.
It was Mr. diva's birthday, so I wanted all the food to be scrumptious. My entree of chicken parmigiana was good, but his zuppa de pesse was not good at all. The shrimp and calamari were terribly chewy and overcooked. All in all, it was a disappointment. I'm still looking for good Italian seafood in the area that we can't make at home.

diva360,
Are these two restaurants run/owned by the same people? LaCucina in Denville used to be Attilio's Kitchen. The food there was very good. I haven't been to LaCucina since the change in owners (and name) but I did meet the new owner when I was at Attilio's. He told me that he was going to keep the food and menu the same for the most part. Attilio's is now Attilio's Tavern and is located on Rt. 46 in Dover. Same great food and most of the same people who were at their restaurant in Denville. Some of the other people from Attilio's stayed on at LaCucina.
