Heading up there tomorrow, lousy weather - any recs about wineries that have particularly cozy tasting rooms where we can seek refuge? Trying to stay in the southern part of the valley since we are only driving up from SF for the day. Thanks!!

i have to say i find Sonoma absolutely stunningly beautiful in the rain, with all the gorgeous greenery glistening with droplets.... I've done many, many winter winetastings in the rain - just go slow and enjoy, it's truly lovely. i'm trying to give you recs for wineries, but my computer is acting up. will re-post if i can.

Edit: I would say hit Gloria Ferrer, if you're trying to stay south. It's one of the few places that have sit down tables. 2nd Ravenswood and Gundlach Bundschu.

Gundlach Bundschu is pretty cozy, and nice people too.
I find the whole Valley cozy in this kind of weather though.
Just stay away from Rosch. They are on the square now, and it may seem inviting, but they are pouring complete shxx and upselling to boot.
I'd probably hit Ravenswood for nostalgia.

Not a winery, but Vineyards Inn in Kenwood had a fire in the fireplace today. Served a seasonally appropriate seafood soup too. May be a good place to warm up.
