Upscale lunch with mom?

Any type of food. Midtown or uptown. We've gone to Le Cirque and Aquavit and Cafe Boloud in the past. Thinking of 11 Madison Park but wondering if it would be too heavy. Any suggestions - I know the downtown ethnic places much better. Thanks.

What day of the week is this? How much are you thinking of paying? Note that EMP has increased the prix fixe lunch price.

Thursday - my birthday! Price doesn't matter that much.

Have you dined at Jean Georges before? Seems like a good place for an upscale birthday lunch with a parent.

What I especially like about EMP's food is that it's not too heavy. I think it would be a perfect place for lunch with your mother. I chose it for a dinner with my mother next week.

Thanks Nancy, I actually made a reservation there. Maybe I'll keep it.

You should. You will enjoy it. Also, read the article in last weekend's Post, which promotes it so well.
