Upscale lunch with mom?

Any type of food. Midtown or uptown. We've gone to Le Cirque and Aquavit and Cafe Boloud in the past. Thinking of 11 Madison Park but wondering if it would be too heavy. Any suggestions - I know the downtown ethnic places much better. Thanks.

What I especially like about EMP's food is that it's not too heavy. I think it would be a perfect place for lunch with your mother. I chose it for a dinner with my mother next week.
