JFK terminal 5 post-security take-out meals

I am flying cross-country and need to buy a packable dinner in the terminal (but after the security gates) to eat a few hours later on my Jet Blue flight. Any recommendations? Any Jet Blue frequent flyers out there?

There's a list of restos on the Jet Blue webpage, but I don't know how much time I will have to check out everyplace before I have to just order and board. Thanks.

  1. There are a few waiter service restaurants- they may do takeout.

There's a Jamba Juice near Borders Express.

There's a mini food court type place that's probably your best option. There's several franchise counters- I know for sure there's a Dunkin Donuts. There's definitely pizza (sbarro's) and sandwich counters, can't remember what else. The middle of the place is a by the lb salad bar and soup bar. Refrigerated case has gourmet style cold prepacked grain and vegetable salads, hummus, raw veggie sticks, sandwiches, fruit cups and drinks. The fridge section has kosher food also. Large selection of bakery cookies, pastries, and chips. You pay all at once before leaving the area, so it works out if you want a bunch of different things. There's a few of these 'cibo express' places right by the gates also that have only coffee and prepackaged stuff.

I guess you can say I fly Jet Blue a little too often!

anytime! personally, I would bring something from a restaurant or from home if possible. The food is way overpriced and not all that great.

And don't worry about time- the terminal is one circlular area with everything (incl an eating area) right there. You'll see everything right when you get past security. Oh, and if you're going to buy a bottled drink, carry some change. A diet coke works out to a weird amount where you're left with a pocketful of change.
