Brooklyn baked goods?
Am having a party with Brooklyn theme - anyone has any ideas for baked goods/cookies, etc. which are Brooklyn-inspired?

Brooklyn Black Out cake! You can get it at Two Little Red Hens in Park Slope.

The former TLRH in Park Slope now goes by the name Ladybird Bakery. The TLRH location on the Upper East Side kept the name when the partners split.
However, they continue to carry Brooklyn Blackout cake.

Blackout cake, without a doubt. While you're shopping, look for a six pack of Manhattan Special coffee sodas, which, despite the name, is a Brooklyn classic.

How the hell could I forget Charlotte Russe. Bought with joy at the counter of Germain's dry goods stoor, 5th Avenue, 1958.
