Ideas for olallieberries ... other than pie?

I just dug up a big bagful of olallieberries from my freezer (picked at the peak of the season this past summer).

So other than an olallieberry pie, are there other uses I can put these berries too?

I'm reserving some for ice cream, but still have enough for at least 2 pies.

So all ideas are welcomed.

  1. Olalliberry Jam.... a restaurant in Cambria, CA (name escapes me at the moment) is "famous" for it.

    1. Cupcakes! Using rooibus tea and citrus zest in the batter! And white chocolate Swiss buttercream!

Sorbet, financiers, buckle with Cabernet or Chambord, compote with a touch of balsamic eaten over buttermilk ice cream, scones, and if you make jam, toss it on a burger with cheddar.

      1. You could make this Georgian sauce for roast or grilled chicken. I usually make a Georgian curry sauce to serve with it as well. The color contrast is trippy.
        makes a cup
1 1/2 cups of ripe blackberries
1 small garlic clove, peeled and roughly chopped
        1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 small hot red or green pepper, minced
1/4 cup of minced mixed fresh dill and cilantro
1 or 2 teaspoons of lemon juice

Force the blackberries through a sieve or food mill into a bowl. With a mortar and pestle, pound garlic, salt, and hot pepper into a paste and add to the sieved blackberries. Stir in the minced herbs and lemon juice to taste. Serve at room temperature.
