Need cool restaurant for a group in the east end

I have to organize a group drink and dinner outing for about 15 people in the East End (Don Mills is about as far West as we want to go).

We usually hit up Joe's because the food is tolerable and the atmosphere is great, but we've done it to death now.

Does anyone have any suggestions? The night is a bit of a treat, so I'm not terribly concerned with spending...

I believe they are referring to the Shops at Don Mills.

Not exactly cool though, is it. Good food bad decor.

If you're not concerned about price, maybe give Fabbrica (same mall) a shot and see if they can book off an area for you. I've eaten there only once and I enjoyed my pasta. Service was a little shoddy given the rep of McEwan, but it did only open a few weeks ago. Price is what would prevent me from coming back often.

If your group likes Thai food, you might want to consider the monthly prix fixe at Linda.

I like the soups, the Thai Islam Noodles and the Beef Panang on the regular menu.

It's east but if you're willing to head way south, Le Papillon on the Park can accommodate a group your size easily. Nice atmosphere (fireplaces are going already!), good food and wonderful service. It's near Coxwell and Eastern, plenty of parking next door (park) and on the street.
