Thanksgiving dinner-location halfway between New Haven, CT and Briarcliff Manor, NY

  • 9

Hi all,

This might be a bit of a quirky request, but here goes anyway.

I am trying to find a nice inn atmosphere kind of place for Thanksgiving, located approximately halfway between New Haven and Briarcliff Manor, NY.

It doesn't have to be exactly equidistant of course, but both parites thought this might be a good idea, if there's a place worth going to.

Thanks for your help.
Ellie

Briarcliff Manor, NY is in Westchester County, off the Hudson River, about 67 miles east of New Haven.

    2. Thomas Henkelman in Greenwich?
If they're open the food is great.

      1. I would definitely do the Dressing Room in Westport! Its perfect for thanksgiving!!

        1. I can suggest the Red Barn in Westport, Ct. It is a comfortable New England place, the owners are wonderful and the food is good. They have been doing Thanksgiving dinners for many years!

          1. Thanks BizzyB and chatNchow! I'll check both out and see what we all can agree on.

            1. A slight alteration of intended routes could bring you to the Curtis House Inn and Restaurant, Woodbury, Ct www.curtishouseinn.com . They are taking reservations for Thanksgiving and would be an excellent old inn type setting for the day

              1. I just wanted to pop in and tell you all that we ended up going to Dressing Room in Westport.
It was teriffic! Thanks for the recommendation chatNchow!
Most of us ordered the traditional Heritage turkey dinner, with all of the trimmings. The food was delicious and fresh! We also got cornbread and macaroni and cheese and brussels sprouts.
Desserts were outstanding too. Pumpkin Pie was divine. It was a lovely setting, the service was great and we might eventually go back just for lunch or dinner another time.
