Arlington - Need help finding specific pickles

Hi,

I've been reading these boards in a while, and I figured it might be my best bet for finding either of these.

I'm looking for spiced crab apples and/or watermelon rind pickles.

I've been looking for a while and I've not had any luck with either. I'd like to have them for Thanksgiving so I still have a reasonable amount of time.

Thanks

I buy watermelon pickle all the time at Giant, I cannot remember ther brand . It is in the condiment aisle I believe- i.e. mustard, picka pepper sauce etc. I also have bought Washington brand spiced apples - very good but not crab apples,

Which Giant are you going to?

I believe I saw watermelon pickles at the Alexandria - Court House Square farmer's market.

Do you mean the Arlington Court House one?

Alexandria's site says that their farmers markets are in Old Town, Del Ray, Four Mile Run, Upper King Street, and West End.

Del Ray is at least near where my hairdresser is now, so I'd be able to find that reasonably easily. But if it's Arlington's then that makes things even simpler.

I havent been this year, but last year at the Wednesday Clarendon Farmers Market, Saturday Falls Church Farmers Market and Sunday Columbia Pike Farmers Market there was a vendor called Oh! Pickles that I believe had pickled watermelon rind.

No, I meant Alexandria. It's at the big square in front of city hall and near the courthouse. Perhaps courthouse square is not the correct term for the spot.

It's technically the Old Town Farmer's Market; the square in front of City Hall where it's held is actually called Market Square after the market and its 18th-century predecessors.
