I need good sausage for an Oktoberfest beer and sausage tasting

and it cant be frozen(as im buying them the day of) and im looking for a place with variety. I am thinking Huntington Meats at 3rd and Fairfax but was wondering what else was out there. I had a disappointing experience when I went to Shreiners to find lion's share of the sausages frozen and of no use to me for the tailgate I was on my way too. It seems Alexanders falls into this category as well.

      1. Trader Joe's Fearless Flyer that just came out featured a German sausage for Octoberfest from Germany.
Just an idea, I haven't tried it.

        1. Try the Alpine Market at Alpine Village in Torrance, or Mattern Sausage and Meats on Chapman Avenue in the city of Orange. Both carry lots of different German sausages. I don't know whether Alpine Market makes their own sausages but Mattern does and they're fantastic. If there's any way you can fit in a drive to Orange it will be well worth your time.

Second Alpine village. Deepest sausage selection in SoCal and I'm pretty sure all of them are made in-house (there are a myriad of awards for "Best Meat Processing" behind the counter).

          2. Try the Hungarian sausage from Huntington Meats. About the closest I've seen to a true German sausage taste here in L.A.
