QN4U BBQ House in Clovis

Bakersfield Hound Oct 18, 2010 06:13 PM

We went there Thursday night after the House races and had dinner. I mean to tell you the food was outstanding. The brisket was very moist and had the smoky taste, the BBQ chicken was very tender and had the same taste. The Texas Tommie hot dog, which is 1/2 lb hot dog, slit in the middle and stuff with jalapeños and cheese, then wrapped in bacon and deep fried and put in a bun was great. The mac and cheese was creamy, and the beans had a good smoky taste with a sauce that had some kick.

Brent Walton, the co-owner, passed away unexpectedly a couple months ago. His wife, Kim, just announced that QN4U will close on Sunday. She'll still be catering after that.

Thanks for the feedback, Danny. This place got so so reviews after it first opened. Good to hear they may have their act together now.
