Hey Hungry, I got the room, and it was well worth it. Went to the disco on Friday night at the Lighthouse restaurant, cheesy booze fest ... but fun! It is nice to be a stranger in town for the night. Plus the dusting off of the old dance moves requires such. Got great parking at the pier took a leisurely stroll into Wellfleet center and started with fried oysters, went to Hatches for some grilled Rockefeller, then completed the day with fresh shucked. Superb! And to wash it all down with Sam Adam oyster stout! My only regret to the day was to have missed the french bakery raved about on this site. But my antics the night before made that impossible. See you there next year!
I attended for the 7th time. It was great, as usual. It has been discovered, for sure. But I guess that's okay because the outer Cape could use a post-season shot in the arm. All of the hotels, motels were "No Vacancy". I had forgotten all about the disco night at the Lighthouse! Next year. Great oysters, great smoked salmon from Hatch's (Hatche's), lobster roll from Moby Dick's stall, fried oysters, clam and corn chowder....yum! I avoided PB Boulangerie on purpose because I figured it would be a madhouse, but when we drove by on Sunday, late morning, it didn't look too full or crazy.
