No. 1 Noodle House Newton

I got a menu for this place in Newton Centre in the mail. Does anyone know if it's worth trying?

I think for an honest, good bowl of noodle soup, you can't go wrong at this place. As Peregrine points out, the Singaporean-style Seafood Lhaksa is really quite good, but even the standards like Wonton Noodle Soup with Roast Duck is done well. i don't think there is anything in the area that gives you the Chinatown feel without having to drag ourselves out from the 'burbs just for a good bowl of noodle soup in the middle of the week, The prices cannot be beat for quick eats and the portion sizes are very generous. I'm a regular.

I enjoy their seafood laksa (which is hard to find anywhere) and their satay wonton noodle soup.

It's a simple storefront, not much atmosphere, not a "destination," but the food is good.

I've eaten there a few times. It's okay if you're in the area and craving for Cantonese noodle soup, but I wouldn't make a trip there just for the food.
