Legends or nearby in KC
Hi, we're going to a soccer game in KC next week and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for dinner. We aren't interested in anything upscale but definitely decent quality. One of us in the party is sick of bbq unfortunately so my usual pick of running to oklahoma joe's is out. I've never actually tried any of the restaurants in legends as they are all chains but are any of them any good? Or is there another dinner option nearby that you recommend?
Thanks.

East of the Legends on State Avenue at 94th street, a couple of miles or so, is the Frontier Steakhouse. They have been in business for fifty years at the same location and comes highly recommended. Personally, I would go there before anything at the Legends.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. We had a great dinner at the Frontier steakhouse. Two of us got some fried chicken and the other person in our party got the fish and chips. All the food was really good. The fried chicken had great seasoning and was nice and moist and not super greasy. Just like what i used to get when I lived in GA. My friend said the fish was really good as well. I got some blackberry pie for dessert which was ok. The crust was delicious but the filling was a bit too sweet for my preference. But overall this is definitely the place to go if you are in the area for dinner. Everything else they were serving looked really good as well.

Of the chains in/around Legends, the best of the bunch are Stix & Jazz. At jazz, I typically opt for fried pickles to start & chicken a la mer for dinner. Both very delicious for chain cajun. Stix is a japanese teppanyaki restaurant if you like that kind of thing & has a very servicable sushi list.
