Need help lighting vintage gas stove
I need some help. I bought a vintage O'keefe and Merritt stove a little while ago for my house, which is nearing the end of a renovation. It was reinstalled and the gas is working fine - the burners can be lit - but I'm not able to get the pilots lit.
I have vague directions from the last seller - press a red button, light pilot (where?) - but I'm failing miserably and we need it to work for our final inspection this week!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1950's O'Keefe and Merritt. In my case there is a pilot safety device with a red button that I press and hold for several minutes after lighting the oven pilot light. If the Pilot blows out it is suppose to automatically stop the gas flow.
I have found one company in Austin that appears to specialize in O'Keefe and Merritt.
