I heard good things about this place but it appears there are 2 locations. One on 149th off Northern and the other on like 211th street. It looks like the 149th spot is better. Any input?

Also.

I picked up a menu from the 149th street location. We are going to order the Samgyupsal, but they have 2 versions. Thin sliced (Daepae) and thick cut (Dol).

Which is better?

Thanks

  1. I've been to both locations, and prefer the Murray Hill location, as it's more accessible to Manhattan (via the LIRR) and has better spots for post-samgyeopsal drinking/hanging out. The food's about the same at both places. The Murray Hill location is much much smaller, and there's usually a wait.

I'd go with the thick cut, as it remains much juicier during cooking. But if you're going two get a couple or orders, it wouldn't hurt to try both?

thick cut, yup. both are identical, food-wise, I always go to the one further out (it's a nice cute standalone building).

    2. You could always go to Tong Sam Gyup Gui...
