Parents' Anniversary Dinner in Shanghai - Gift Certificates Available?
My parents will be in Shanghai next week. They've been many times, but they are not the type to go to fancy places. It's also their 40th anniversary, so my brother and I would like to treat them to an amazing dining experience while they're there. Any suggestions, any places that would take my credit card or something to charge for the meal?

A great place for an anniversary would be Fu 1088, at 375 Zhenning Road - I took my wife there for our 5th wedding anniversary last year, and it was absolutely perfect (and actually really good value for money too!). The beautiful building and private dining aspect of it would certainly make it memorable.

If you speak Mandarin, or know someone who does, I'd recommend phoning them up and asking about using your card for the meal, saying that it's meant to be a gift.
