Portuguese potato: Baker's Style?

I had a sublime meal a few nights ago in Portugal. The potatoes served with my veal were particularly amazing. I was told that they were Baker's Style potatoes. They were small new potato size had been roasted and also were partially crushed. Any ideas how to replicate?
