Some questions about Atlanta.
I need two dinners. Here are some perimeters:
1. No Bacchanalia.
2. Is the burger at Holeman & Finch worth the 10 p.m. wait? There are an awful lot of really REALLY tempting thing on that menu of theirs, otherwise.
3. Restaurant Eugene - thought? Would going to Eugene and H&F (on two separate nights) be Linton overkill? I don't see how this could be, since they seem to have totally different food.
4. Anywhere else of note that you would put on the top list? Watershed? Woodfire Grilll? Floataway Cafe?
Appreciated!

I'm a bit in love with Miller-Union these days- the duck with corn and lima succotash is something- well, if I was sentenced to eat one thing for the rest of my life- it would be that. And the Miller Thyme cocktail is a great starter to the meal.

re: cheesemonger
I am absolutely with you on Miller Union. It's been hyped a good bit lately with the Bon Appetit mention and a few others, but lives up to it. Consistent, delicious food. Not a vegetarian, but their veggie plate knocked me over. Everything was perfect.
Also, I've heard over and over that Dynamic Dish is one of the places for best food in the city, and I ride by it almost every day, but I'm ashamed to say that I haven't yet been there...

I can only offer my humble experience visiting here in Atlanta for the past month and trying to take in some great food.
Woodfire-Had the 7 course tasting menu. While everything was well prepared and featured fresh ingredients, nothing blew me away.
Holeman & Finch - can not speak to the burger but had four plates and all were terrific. Impressed me so much that I am going to Restaurant Eugene tonight because I wanted to try more of Chef Hopkin's food.-----

Floataway is fantastic. It will not disappoint.
I feel like I say it over and over again on this list, but Cakes & Ale serves some of the best food I have ever had (period) and it is so well-priced.
