New Year's Eve suggestions?

Located in Rockland County - looking for something to tickle our fancy for New Year's Eve. Realized staying home, with the fire, drinks and excellent nibbles for two isn't enough - but really not into the big scenes either - been there, done that. Any suggestions for this year? Was looking at places to go for an overnight or two nearby, but just the evening activity would be great too.
