I've gotta recommend Hudson's on the Bend. The drive out to the restaurant is through some of the prettiest parts of the Texas Hill Country, and the cuisine is unreal. The 5 course tasting menu is $110 per person with wine and is one of the best food experiences I've had in Texas. It features locally grown produce and wild game, and it's worth every penny.

The last few times I have been to La Condesa have made it one of my favorite restaurants in town. Olivia might also be nice. Some pre-dinner cocktails at the Driskill Bar before dinner at Parkside as well if you would like to stay down on 6th street for the celebrations might be fun too.

If money is not an issue, then Congress. It is a David Bull restuarant, recently listed as one of the US's top 10 by Bon Appetit, is right down town and would be the homerun for Austin eating imo.I havn't been there yet so must admit my knowledge is second hand. OTW, I concur with Hudsons because it is a unique sort of dining and the setting is pleasant. It is bit of a drive but doable.
