having dessert at the bar of high end restaurants

Hey guys, I was wondering are their any restaurants where you can't go in and order drinks and dessert at the bar? IFor example at Per se or Le Bernadin would I be able to get away with this.

Per Se has the salon menu at the bar area so you can definitely go there for dessert. I would assume if a restaurant has an ala carte menu and a bar, it would certainly allow you to sit at the bar and only order dessert.

you can definently just order desert in the salon area of per se. if you go to website, you can see their current prices.

Wouldn't see a problem with it except if the restaurant is exceptionally busy, sometimes they just can't serve the bar area with food. Best to just call the restaurant and ask.
