West Orange area?

Angelina Oct 14, 2010 02:28 PM

I will be in W.O. tomorrow to visit a friend. I want to go somewhere good for lunch in that area. (I will have my baby with us) Should I just go into Montclair, or is there anything in West Orange or surround area to try??

And DON'T say, Pal's Cabin :) haa haa

(NO Chinese, or Pizza)

Any good Greek?

If you want AMAZING Greek food, go over to Stamna on Broad Street in Bloomfield; it's on the border w/Montclair (not far from Brookdale Park or the GSP)--on the same block as Holsten's. Just confirm that they're open for lunch! Seriously authentic, wonderful food, and certainly kid-friendly. Well worth the extra...3? miles you'll drive from downtown Montclair!

We enjoy Sweet Basil's in West Orange . It may be closer if you have a baby with you.

Curlz is right about Stamna, it is very good. We've been having our Greek fix at Taximi in Caldwell, which is closer to our home. It has great grilled fish and live Greek folk music from the staff. We also like the wall murals of Santorini and Mykonos.
