Does anyone have any experience with catering from Murray Avenue Kosher in Pittsburgh? Also, any idea who gives the hashgocha? Many Thanks.

From what I can tell: Vaad of Pittsburgh

It is Vaad of Pittsburgh, VERY reliable (Rabbi Daniel Wasserman is our Rav, he is one of the members of Vaad).

From I remember and know it is standard food.

I've got no experience with their catering, but I have bought prepared food from the counter and it was delicious. I also found the prices for groceries in that store quite competitive with those in Brooklyn.

I have had there takeout several times It was on a par with the standard NY kosher takeout not as good as Meisners but better then ChapaNosh.

I've used them in the past to send a shivah meal to a Chabad family. I presume then that the hashgacha must be good. I don't know personally about the food but I've been told that it's very good.

Thanks for all of the responses. I ordered meals from there for my recent business trip to Pittsburgh. Everything was delicious, plentiful and presented very nicely. Highly recommended!
