1 night in Savannah

Hey folks....

We are going to be in savannah for one night and wanted to take my mother out for her birthday dinner. There will be 9-10 of us and would love to go to a fun place with the food that makes savannAh famous without having to take out a small loan. I've tried to do a little research and sounds like mrs. Wilkes is the perfect fit except no dinner hours. I'm currently on the road with the iPhone as my only means of research otherwise I would search deeper.

Also.. Forgot to mention that we do have a couple of non-meat eaters in our party and we will be there saturday night.

Thanks a bunch!

  1. Go Crystal Beer Parlor which is very casual, reasonable and fun. Go to Bistro Savannah if you prefer something not so casual. If you would like something more upscale go to Garibaldi's.

    Crystal Beer Parlor @ 301 West Jones St., Savannah, GA. 912 - 231 - 0999.
    Bistro Savannah @ 309 W. Congress St., Savannah, GA. 912 - 233 - 6266.
    Garibaldi's @ 315 West Congress St., Savannah, GA. 912 - 232 - 7118.

    1. Thanks. Do I need to make reservations? Also what about that b. Matthews?

Bistro Savannah is defunct. Make reservations if you go to Garibaldi's. B Matthews is casual.

I liked it a lot also. Especially their chicken livers appetizer. I believe it was this past spring when they closed.
            Geneva's is also closed.

B Matthew's is very casual and outstanding for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I don't think you want to celebrate your mother's BD there but it is a fine place for dining. CBP is a very casual burger joint. I would go to Garibaldi's for your mother's BD. Good luck.

Believe or not, my mom is very sensitive to garlic so Italian is out. Looking for southern fare since in savannah
