Franky & Johnny's Seafood Outlet Folding

  • 4

I just received this email from them:
"We have become another victim to the terrible economic conditions. Due to this environment and other unforeseen circumstances we will be CLOSING our DOORS as soon as we have sold everything in our Outlet. Therefore, beginning today we will be having a 30% off LIQUIDATION SALE on most of our 600 items, till supply lasts."

Too bad. They were great people and they really put their heart into the business since they opened last year. But I think the location they chose was the biggest hindrance to their success. Their cooked to order food was good but just a bit pricey for this neighborhood. I'm sorry to see them go.

  1. Just yesterday I was driving by and wondered how their business was because I hardly see anyone there and they have sale signs galore.

Day one I checked out the place and wasn't impressed, all seafood items were frozen except for literally a few fresh seafood items. I was a bit wary because I didn't recognize any labels or manufacturers on the frozen seafood items. Did you ever buy anything there? I didn't because I wasn't sure if their prices were competitive.

Nothing wrong with the location, thousands drive by there everyday. Maybe it was too much "self-promotion" that was a little scary.

I agree with Monku. I stopped by there when they first opened and was excited at the prospect of a new seafood place nearby but unfortunately nearly everything was frozen.

    2. I thought it was going to be like a Fisherman's Outlet downtown on Central. That would have been a gold mine.

I don't think the economy was to blame.

      1. Definitely closed as of last week.
The "For Lease" signs are up.
