In and around Soho---interested in any good neighborhood spots for dinner/lunch

We will be in the city for the weekend and interested in spots that have good local ingredients, or good flavor/spice/cuisine with a relaxed atmosphere.

  1. Savoy Restaurant is a good dinner choice, I think.

    1. Georgione is Italian and a fun place for lunch or dinner. Aquagrill is fun for good fresh seafood which dominates the menu. Balthazar is fun but it can get kind of loud at times. It is relaxing though.

      Georgione @ 307 Spring Street, New York, NY 212 - 352 - 2269.
      Aquagrill @ 210 Spring St., New York, NY 212 - 274 - 0505.
      Balthazar @ 80 Spring St., New York, NY 212 - 965 - 1785.

210 Spring St, New York, NY 10012

      1. Lupa is just north of Houston on Thompson St. Great, authentic Roman trattoria with a very relaxed atmosphere.

170 Thompson Street, New York, NY 10012

          1. Back from the weekend, and we fell into a very good local place called Jean Claude Cafe-bar at 137Sullivan St. Excellent skate fish dinner, nice cozy atmosphere. Takes only cash. recommended for a nice French meal. Nice people at the restaurant
