St Louis's in the Beach, what was i thinking

  • 5

Took the family a couple of fridays ago. Five of us in total. (kids 10, 8 and 3)

Place was dirty, 'food' awful. Bill came to over 100$.

Thought we'd take a chance as the options in the beach are lousy. Well, you can add this place to lousy in the beach.

Don't ever go. Rock bottom.

  1. Subsitute "Yonge Street" for "in the Beach" and that sums up my experience with the St. Louis chain.

Chow hound 101: Avoid places that self identify as a "bar and grill". The latter (food) usually suffers at the expense of the former (booze).

maybe its that location, I personally like St Louis. I love the cajun dusted wings and their fries are really good.

I've been to the Beach(es) location twice -- once shortly after it opened and once very recently -- and both the food and the service were dreadful on both occasions. Never, ever again.

But if I had to eat at a chain in the Atrium, I would choose St. Louis over its competitors. I've always had good service and at least passable food at that location.

    2. I almost went drinking here when staying at a hotel near the airport. They were the ONLY place in the Dixon road strip that have NO drink specials on Thursday. Thank God, we went somewhere else, where the beer was cheaper.

      1. St Louis wings may be average, but their wing sauce is fabulous. We stalk up on sauce and barbeque our own wings at home.
