Canned sardine/mackeral Question
I have two cans of fish (one sardine and one mackeral). Both cans, when I took them out of the box have a very thin layer of oil over the top of the can. Is this from packaging? Neither can looks to be leaking and isn't dented, but it kind of weirds me out.
Am I overreacting and it's really just fine?
I think cans sometimes get sprayed with a light oil to keep them from rusting. If the can was leaking the oil would have soaked into the box. I assume this isn't the case. I can't remember what it was exactly, but I know I've had cans of something that was a little slippery on the outside from something that was sprayed on it.
