Lunch on Tuesday near Notre Dame

kbrote Oct 13, 2010 02:20 PM

We will be near Notre Dame/Latin Quarter next Tuesday. My daughter who is in Paris now made us lunch reservations for Wednesday at Le Reminet. She tried making lunch reservations for us at Mon Vieil Ami for Tuesday but we have found they are closed Tuesday. Can you recommend a similar place for lunch on Tuesday?

Reminet good idea, mon Vieil bad; how far are you willing to walk from ND?
Le Pre Verre is not far, nor Ze Kitchen Galerie nor l'Epigramme.

Thanks John. Actually, I just looked at Le Pre Verre which I had read about previously. I notice they are open on Tuesday. Do you think we need a res for lunch? And should we not go to Mon Vieil Ami another day? And walking from Notre Dame a bit is not problem. Anywhere in the Latin Q as long as it's near a metro. My daughter will be coming from class (near Ecole Militaire) and it would be easier for her if we were close to a metro stop.

Meaning that, no, they should not not go? Or that, no, they shouldn't? Now I've even confused myself!

My daughter was able to make a Tuesday lunch reservation at Le Pre Verre. We will also be lunching at Le Reminet. Dinner reservations so far at Josephine Chez Dumonet and Les Papilles. May throw a couple more reservations in there or may just wing it the rest of the trip. My family goes crazy when I over plan things!

They'll go crazier over lousy food when there is so much great food at hand. Make the reservations. If you find something you like better, you can always cancel them -- even a half hour before time.
