Calozzi's Famous Cheesesteaks (Pioneer Square)

Calozzi's Famous Cheesesteaks has moved into the old Tat's location in Pioneer Square. Have you been there? I'd appreciate reviews of their cheesesteak sandwiches.

For anyone reading this, note that Tat's is still open (in a larger location) around the corner on Yesler between Occidental and 2nd Ave.

I'm a big fan of Tat's, and am wondering how Calozzi's compares to Tat's.

I tried Calozzi's about a month ago and was very disappointed. The meat in the cheesesteak was stringy and unappetizing and the bread wasn't good either. I had high hopes but with Tat's around the corner, I see absolutely no reason to go back.

again, i live and work in Pioneer Square so i eat there often, no really often. ok so i work almost next door to Calozzi's Cheesesteaks. so every thur. fri. and sat. night at about 2 am. i order myself the same sub, cheesesteak wit provolone or mozz. then i go back after work at 2.20 am and it's waiting for me. then at about 2.30 am i'm chowing down a hot sub in bed. the subs at Calozzi's are always fresh and hot, with melting cheese dripping down your hand. Steve and Al (the owners) are great east coast guys, jersey to be exact. they know everyone's name and say hi even if your just walking by.
