Tilted Kilt?

We are getting a Tilted Kilt in Lake Mary, FL (suburb of Orlando). Their website says they have locations across the country. Anyone eaten here? How's the chow?

  1. Star;

    Well, my Tilted Kilt experience was in Steven's Point, Wisconsin, where the TK was the house bar and house restaurant (!!!) for a 3-day conference at the marginal Ramada Inn Conference Center there. So at least I got 3 square meals there at TK to evaluate. And the restaurant presentation to the conference hotel clientele was superb--who *cares* about the food when you are watching the belly-button ring jingle and jangle? Now I hear downtown Denver has a Tilted Kilt too, I have not been there yet, and probably won't go out of the way.

    Draught beers, with many local ones, were served at proper temps in proper glasses. Draught Guinness was done right. Mixology was nice -- tangy and strong Margs, and good Mojitos with the mint freshly muddled. The bar at this TK was excellent.

    My review on the TK food is "Meh." Standard basic hit or miss "sports bar" food. One night the fish and chips was awesome, top notch, the next it was an inedible soggy mess. Same with the burgers... Same with everything else I and my 3 co-workers sampled over 3 days. Couldn't afford the real "EntreƩs" but I bet it's about the same. Not somewhere I'd order an expensive steak or seafood "entreƩ" from.

    It all depends on the folks back in the kitchen, and the manager. And the folks up top who decide how many folks are working on any given night.

    Are you there for the food, or the belly button ring and cleavage?
    Be honest, now.

    1. Its all about the girls wearing very short kilts and button down shirts tied under their prominently displayed cleavage. as has been said they have a laudable beer selection but their food is not anything to write home about. I feel the same way about Tilted kilt as I do about Hooters, if you want to ogle half dressed college girls while drinking an ice cold beer its certainly the place to go but if you want really tasty original food there are far better places to go.

        So are you saying I shouldn't take my kids there?

          Ha Ha Ha - My son is 26 yo and he loves the place and the food. Yes you can take your kids there - depending on their ages.

          Exactly. They have a nice beer selection. The food is below average

            Well I'm sure there are those who would say they go to Hooters for the wings, but let's face it, there are other, better places you can get wings. So here's my question: the girls at Hooters wear pantyhose. Do the girls at TK? If they don't, then I'd say Hooters is in for some competition.

              I don't recall panty hose under the knee high socks

          2. Haha! Thanks so much for the responses. I am a happily married straight girl, so I'm definitely not going for the chicks. LOL

            1. They have a location in the Rio in Las Vegas, next to the slot floor, which should tell you all you need to know about this outfit.

                I went to one in Chicago, didn't eat anything as it was late, but I have heard rumors that there may be one opening here in Hoboken, I can sat I will not be heading there.
