two days in Burlington, VT with a baby
My 8-month-old daughter and I are driving down from Montreal (well, I'll be doing all the driving) and meeting up with a friend in Burlington for two days. I'm looking for a couple of recommendations for lunch and dinner that feature good, local food and are somewhat baby-friendly. I usually go to American Flatbread and probably will again. Other ideas, either in or near Burlington?

We've been to Starry Night Cafe in Ferrisburgh (about 20 mins south of Burlington) for dinners with friends who had a baby, they had high chairs and were accommodating. Great food and lots of local ingredients represented!
Definitely second the Farmhouse for dinner. Our favorite lunch places are Sky Burgers, Four Corners of the Earth (fun, global sandwich shop) and the tasting menu lunch at Single Pebble (upscale Chinese).

I visited a friend who took me here. Not fancy, very yummy. Ought to be kid-friendly.

No specific suggestions, but just a tip that might be useful to people who go to Vermont for the first time. It sounds like this is not you but it may be helpful to others. While the general sales tax in Vermont is 6%, the restaurant tax is actually 9% and 10% in the city of Burlington. Add another 1% for alcohol. Out of state visitors are often surprised to find this out.

I really enjoyed The Farmhouse when I went two weekends ago:
http://www.farmhousetg.com/I also enjoyed the Das Bierhaus, http://www.dasbierhausvt.com/
Both places had high chairs, although I did not see any children as we were enjoying a late dinner both nights and had left the kids with the in-laws.
