New Baking Book "FLOUR" by Joanne Chang

Just published, arrived at my front door this morning. Looks very promising, indeed. Breakfast goodies, cookies, pies, tarts, and cakes. Some savory recipes, but mostly sweet.

I'm still waiting too, mine hasn't shipped yet! I hope you're enjoying your copy - as soon as I get mine I'm going to try the homemade oreos... yum...

I'm looking forward to checking this book out since my husband and I go to Flour once a month or so. I got a few of Joanne's recipes from a friend and they were quite good.

You won't be sorry if you try the raspberry crumb bars. I made them for holiday gifts last year and they were a big hit. The pastry is really light because you chill it and then grate it. So buttery, too.

Are the Raspberry Crumb Bars in the book? Sounds great!

I checked the table of contents on amazon, and they are there. I'm remembering now, and I believe that you actually freeze the dough before grating so you get a really light, tender pastry.
