Upscale lunch near Summit on a Saturday

I have a family celebration happening on a Saturday morning that will finish around lunchtime. I'm looking for someplace nice that I can take a party of eight to for a nice lunch. Unfortunately, it seems like many upscale places really downscale their lunch menus and I'm looking to find a place that's more than sandwiches and burgers or brunch. I live in Berkeley Heights but am willing to travel up to a 1/2 hour or 45 minutes away. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    food. - http://www.foodinsummit.com/www.foodi...
    Huntley Tavern - http://www.thehuntleytaverne.com/inde...
    Roots - http://www.rootssteakhouse.com/
are all pretty standard fare in Summit.
But just up the road is the Copeland in Morristown NJ, def worth a checkout if you get the chance.

Thanks for the Copeland recommendation. That's definitely more along the lines of what I'm looking for. The Harvest Group restaurants (Roots, Huntley, etc.) are mostly sandwiches and burgers and food is brunch at that time. I'm taking a bunch of older people out for (what I hope will be) a nice meal and they will turn their noses up at burgers/sandwiches/brunch. It doesn't have to be in Summit - I'm just using that as a jumping off point.

Given your requirements, I agree that Copeland would be a very good choice.

According to the Roots web site, their dinner menu is available at lunch. You might want to check this out in case that menu has more appeal to your guests.

Have you tried Souffle in Summit? Five of us had lunch there and it was quite good. The dessert souffles are wonderful...

        I think Souffle is closed.

Just a thought....contact where you would like to have your event and I'm sure they will accommodate you with a special menu or simply off their dinner menu. There's plenty of time for them to do the preparation work.

Roots in Summit has an extensive lunch menu. Hardly any sandwiches, most are entrees off their dinner menu at a slightly lower price. Check their website...
