Dim Sum in Scotch Plains, NJ Jade Isle
On a chilly Sunday there's nothing better (okay almost nothing) than Congee soup and the tasty dishes of a Dim Sum brunch. We had always gone to Dynasty on Route 22 which is good. But, we just tried Jade Isle in Scotch Plains and were blown away by the variety and quality of Dim Sum. The restaurant has been around for many years and the decor shows its age, however, look past that and treat yourself to a feast that is way better than many NY Chinatown eateries and no expensive bridges or tunnels to cross! The servers and English speaking patrons are eager to share the names and contents of the myriad offerings which enhanced our experience. Try it!

re: gudeatz
Pardon the spelling-we had three shrimp dishes. One was shumai, one was a dumpling and forget the name of the third. We had pork buns (3) and wonderful veggie dumplings that were crispy on the bottom and loaded with flavor. We ate six dishes, wonderful tea and our bill was less than $25.00 including taxes and tip. Other diners were eating s&s pork, sticky rice and great looking noodle dishes. Hope this helps...
