    Oak City is also near by (opposite corner of 494/100 from your hotel) and has always done a good job for the times I have eaten there.

      Purple Sandpiper, in the Cub Foods complex off 84th and Lyndale. Tried the place yesterday and was blown away.

        I agree with Purple Sandpiper. I've been here 3 times now and love it. Twice for lunch and once for breakfast. The scotch eggs are the best I've had. Can't wait to try the new fall menu. The service is friendly and relaxed and the space is nice too. And it's a bargain. Glad to have a place like this in Bloomington, we were seriously lacking.

        Parma 8200 is getting pretty good reviews and is a block or two from Sofitel (on the SW side of the 494/100 loop).

        Beyond that, I'm not too familiar with that area of the Burbs. My other recommendations would require a bit of driving.
