Chef Mac's Louisiana Cuisine, on Harford Road

has nobody posted on this, or does the chow search engine just suck? Small operation on harford Road with a mix of cajun and southern foods.The andouille sausage sub was excellent, with a rich gravy. The barbequed pork was sliced instead of pulled. but I almost licked the plate. This is a storefront operation, with food cooked to order; nothing fancy, but it'll rub that Cajun itch you acquired in Louisian all those years ago.

End with bread pudding, and you'll be a happy camper, as long as you don't mind a place that's a bit rough around the edges. Next time I'm going to try the catfish with shrimp etoufee;

          they are not taking over the Parkside. As soon as I find their card on my messy table I will post it, but it is in the block below Red canoe and the Chameleon, also on the east side of the street

            That terrible auto-link feature linked to the wrong Parkside (I've removed the link). I think we are talking about the same place on Harford Road.

              At the present, they are not in the former Parkside location, but in a storefront a block below Chameleon and 2 blocks below Safeway. Go and enjoy lunch or dinner there: oyster po boys, anyone?

                It's the former Alabama BBQ, 4311Harford.

        2. I'm assuming that this is a sit down sorta place. Do you know if they do carry out?

            Informal sit down with 3 or 4 tables. They also have a carryout menu

              I had some of their delicious juicy chicken last summer at the market last summer - mmm mmm good! And a huge portion. A friend got a few sides - but I dont remember which - also well appreciated. And yes, they will soon be in the old Parkside Fine Food and Spirits location at 4709 Harford Road.

          2. to clarify the confusion above on the location... The were in the old Alabama BBQ location, but they have since moved to Parkside's previous location.

              And they offer live blues & jazz on many weekend nights (this Friday & Saturday for sure) BYOB for the moment.

            2. Their brisket is the best I've ever eaten in a restaurant!
