Dinner or lunch in NYC for about $100

I am going to eat in NYC soon and cannot decide where to go. I have been to Jean Georges, Bar Boulud, EMP, Del Posto, and Bouley for lunch and was able to get away only spending about $30 for each restaurant. Now I have about a $100 budget for the next restaurant I go to. I know Per Se has a 5 course menu, but I do not know how much it is because the Per Se website is always down. I would like to try Marea, Daniel, Aldea, etc. There are so many good places and I need help on making a decison. Where should I go?

Jean Georges
1 Central Park W, New York, NY 10023

Del Posto

Bar Boulud
1900 Broadway, New York, NY 10023

240 Central Park South, New York, NY 10019

  1. All of the restaurants you mention are generally rated highly. Chowhounders will be better able to offer useful advice if you add more specifics. Will you be dining solo? What did you like or not like about the places you've been to already? What type of cuisine are you looking for? Type of atmosphere?

    1. The Per Se site is working for me right now but requires Flash and might not work well on older computers.

      Open Table says:
For dinner, Per Se offers two prix fixe tasting menus for $275; a 9 course Tasting of Seasonal Vegetables or the 9 course Chef’s Tasting Menu, which changes daily. For lunch, in addition to the two 9 course menus, a shorter 5 course menu is available for $175.

If you only have $100 to spend, you'll need to decide if you want a cheaper restaurant with a tasting menu that's closer to $100, or a more upscale restaurant where you order the prix fixe.
