Philly Food Truck Frenzy this Saturday 10.16 on Christian Street

This isn't meant to be a shill, but just wanted to let everyone know there's going to be a foodie's block party on Saturday on the 2000 block of Christian Street. Apparently they've lined up a bunch of the gourmet food trucks + quite a selection of breweries as well.

So far, they've announced:
Coup de Taco
Honest Tom's
Sugar Philly
Dapper Dog
Koja
That's in addition to participation by Sidecar, Healthy Bites to Go, Southside Pizzeria, Rittenhouse Market, Beatuy Shop Cafe, Phoebe's BBQ, Betty's Speakeasy Confections, and Old Towne Pizza/Sanna's Middle Eastern.

Okay, now that I look at that list, I'm not sure how that's even all going to fit on one block.

Eleven breweries are being represented, with a total of 33 beers on tap from: Bell's Blue Point, Doc's Cider, Dock Street, Ithaca, Ommegang, SlyFox, Toegs, Victory, Yards, and Weyerbacher.

Definitely not your typical block party food + drink. Details: http://www.bloktoberfestphilly.com/20...

  1. Thanks for the enthusiasm about Bloktoberfest! Just to clarify, however, the food trucks are the only ones vending at the event. Those other neighborhood restaurants and bars you list are simply sponsors at various levels, but will not be serving food.

You can learn about all the food options at the festival by visiting our site online and selecting the "Food" tab. Again, thanks for spreading the word about Bloktoberfest, and we'll see you this Saturday!

Oh. Good to know. Saw all of those folks + thought it was going to be a feeding frenzy. Glad our local places are happy to sponsor even if they're not the ones vending at this event. Yeah - local businesses - we love you!
