Has anyone been to Sofia Italian Steakhouse on the VFW Parkway?

    I dined there one Saturday night and had a very pleasant experience. The wait matched the hostess' estimate. The steak was properly cooked and tasty. Not cheap, but not as pricy (or as good) as some of Boston's better-known steakhouses. It was crowded too.

      I was there a couple of weeks ago. Nice space, good service. I had a prime rib (22 oz!, the only size on the menu) that was OK at best. Good bread and salad, but when the main event doesn't deliver....

      I'll probably go back and try something else -- I have a $20 gift card from a "Half Price Tuesday" -- but I won't hurry.

        I have not been there but know several people that have and I understand that it is very poor. As I understand it, Sofia was opened by a family that owns and operates a very average italian restaurant in Quincy also.

          not since it was vintage. It was good as vintage, but i don't think that helps any!
