Cepes now?

I just got back in France, went to the market this morning and didn't see any cepes, did I miss them?? Of course, just because they're not selling them here in the boonies doesn't mean they won't have them in Paris right? the last sentence was just to comfort myself before heading out on my hunt; hoping to get a positive response from those in the city and in the know. Thanks all!

All the produce vendors at my market yesterday (rural Ile-de-France) had them -- 20-30 Euros per kilo.

Yep, in the Parisian markets, they were all over the place! wahooooo!! thank you to all those who reassured me!
we really need to get out of L'oise. nothing but potatoes and beets here.

If you're staying in Oise the cèpes are more likely to be in the woods than on the markets.

I just returned from Paris and Cepes were all over the place. I for sure saw them at the Raspail market and on the menu at La Regalade St. Honore.

It is mushroom season (as well as grape season and game seaon; autumn rocks!).
Besides cèpes, don't miss the trompettes de la mort. Takes forever to clean but soooooo worth it.
