New Carl's Jr. in Carrollton

Good news, Carl's Jr. just opened a new location in Carrollton, at Midway and Trinity Mills.

If you haven't tried a Carl's Jr. Burger, you are in for a treat. They "Char Broil" the burger (not fried) and they have a great sauce and I put them right there with In N Out and better than Five Guys.

And their malts are the best I have ever tasted. A little pricey because they are the real thing......like homemade.......not phoney.

People in Plano, and surrounding areas no longer have to drive so far for a great Carl's Burger.

Today I drove by the Carl's Jr. going up in the old Keller's spot on Lemmon Avenue. Glad to see that after a long lull in construction, things are moving pretty quickly again.

Never had one of their burgers, but when I discovered the one in Wichita Falls I had to have a Santa Fe Chicken sandwich, even though it was about 8AM! The sandwich has a whole Anaheim chile, lettuce and s sauce that I think is chipotle. In California I'd pick Carl's Jr. for fast food over most other chains.

We used to drive to our vineyard in California quite often. Arriving In Wichita Falls also at about the same time in the morning, we both would have to have a Carl's Jr. "loadup". Of course after we got to Barstow, we would eat our separate ways. She at Carl's, and me at INO.

Where is/was your vineyard? Since 1996 I'd do about 3 trips a year from CA to TX. 27 hours hauling horses, two days of driving.

17 acres in Healdsburg in the Russian River area.
Sold it about 7-8 years ago. Didn't make wine. Just grew quality Zinfandel and Syrah for better wineries. Two days drive as well. 1,800 miles door to door. After crossing the Arizona/California border, it was In-N-Out all the way there.

This news will make my ex very happy. She love's Carl's Jr. and prefers them to INO. In California, we'd have to go to Carl's Jr. for her and then to INO for me. Hmm, maybe THAT'S the reason were not married anymore
