Best way to reheat 2 lbs unsliced pastrami?

Hi,
I'm looking for advice how to reheat a whole frozen 2lb hunk of pastrami. I carted one back with me from Katz Deli in NYC and froze it. My beloved parent-in-laws are finally arriving and I want them to sample it.

I have found another post about this subject. But it doesn't talk about reheating from frozen.

I think my best option is to defrost in the fridge overnight, and the put into a roaster bag at 250 for about 30 minutes then slice?

Thanks!

If it were me, I'd defrost it at room temperature, it's already cooked so no fear of it spoiling. I'd wrap it in heavy foil and cook in the oven for 45 minutes. The foil keeps the moisture in.

If this was my hunk of pastrami, I would defrost in the fridge, and then steam it. The steaming step is the final step for most deli pastramis. I have done the steaming two ways: one is an oven method with hot water in a pan and a rack or 2. on the stovetop in a steamer. Only steam what you plan to eat for that meal. Enjoy!
