Indian Take Out in NW Calgary
Hi All! I am having some guests for dinner and we usually cook an elaborate meal but today we just can't manage it. The guests have agreed that Indian Take Out will be GREAT! So, that said, we live in the NW and are wondering where to get the Indian. I don't mind a bit of a drive to pick it up (since I am not cooking!) What do you recommend?

Puspa off Northmount drive is excellent. It's been reviewed a ton of times and I've always enjoyed it. Next to that Eclair de Lune place as well, so get some desserts and your meal is set.

Masala Express in Ranchlands is pretty good. I love the Butter Chicken, Saag Lamb, Dhaal, Chick Pea Curry, Okra masala, Pakoras, HUGE Samosas (remember to ask them for their hot tamarind sauce to eat with the samosas), Pilau Rice, Roti and Naan. If you order more than $30, you get a free order of rice.

This is more for future reference as I'm not sure if they are open yet. There will be a new East Indian restaurant opening up in the Panorama area. It's called Tamarind East Indian Restaurant. It is opened by the original owners of Bubly's in the NE. After Bubly's was sold last year, it kind of went downhill really fast and I'm not sure if it's changed ownerships yet again as I haven't been back. I loved the food from the original owners and I'm looking forward to see what Tamarind has to offer.
